WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT CARING FOR THE POOR

Zechariah 7:10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

Proverbs 14:31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

Proverbs 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

  1. Thank you Liz for sharing this message and yes it is very important that our hearts are open to give, we are Jesus Body to care for each other and to reach out to a hurting World.

2 Corinthians 9:6-7 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God Loveth a cheerful giver.

Christian Love from both of us – Anne

    • Thank you, Anne. I like those scriptures about giving on our own volition, not being compelled or coerced to give, but giving from our heart cheerfully! \o/
