God’s Handwriting On the Wall
Over 2500 years ago, God gave King Belshazzar of Babylon, the son of Nebuchadnezzar, a startling message written on the palace wall while he had a great party feasting with a thousand of his lords and captains. ‘Belshazzar, while he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein’ Da5:2. Then Belshazzar saw a giant hand and a large handwriting which he could not understand written on the plaster wall. The troubled king in fright called for his astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers, promising anyone who could interpret the message to be the third ruler in the kingdom.
