Word for Today- America in Free Fall

While meditating on the place of America in the world today and seeing the recent photo of Pres. Biden tripping three times going up the stairs of Air Force One, the thought of America being in a free fall was imprinted on my mind.

America is indeed in a major crisis, but the pandemic and economic downturn are not the main reasons for our concerns. SIN is at the crux or root of America’s problems. This is what the Bible says in James 3:16:

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. (KJV)

For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder [unrest, rebellion] and every evil thing and morally degrading practice. (Amp Bible)

Jesus said, “Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.” (Mt 12:25) America is already in FREE FALL whether we want to face the facts or not. Wearing masks and social distancing, even COVID vaccines will not save us and preserve us as a United States of America.

In our Bible class we described SIN as the Selfish Indulgent Nature of humankind. The ‘I’ in S-I-N refers to putting SELF first, SELF INTERESTS and that is the reason for our divided society and nation. America needs to REPENT; all of us need to repent and return to God so that He would heal our land.

God is our only HELPER, KEEPER AND PRESERVOR (Psa 121). Pay close attention to these verses from 2 Chronicles 7:14, 19-22. This prophetic word given by God 3,000 years ago also applies to America today. It was spoken to the great ‘unwise’ King Solomon whose sins led Israel into idolatry and whose kingdom was divided as a result!

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land.

But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;

Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.

Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord hath spoken this word.( Isaiah 24:1-3)

Isaiah is one of the most quoted of all of the Hebrew Prophets, in the New Testament. His is not a chronologically written book, it is rather several compilations of sermons, prophecies, and a narrative account which are topical.

The second of these compilations, ( Isaiah 13-27) is eschatological. Isaiah is given…
