My husband Drgold has just posted THE SONSHIP MESSAGE #2- What Really Happened in the Garden of Eden.   He has decided to serialize THE SONSHIP MESSAGE so watch for the additional posts to follow!

God's Hidden Nuggets for the Endtimes

This is Part 2 in a series on The SONSHIP Message that is hidden in the Holy Bible!

What Really Happened In the Garden of Eden

Why am I here? What is life all about? Why did God create me? What will happen to me after I die? Was I born to die or is there more to life than thatDid God have two plans- a Plan A when creating Adam and Eve, and then a Plan B when they sinned while in the Garden?

NO! God who knows the end from the beginning had only One Plan. He never makes a mistake and always has everything under control. From the beginning of time God had only one plan for man! From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is only a 7000-year account of God’s dealing with mankind; 6000 years have nearly passed and…

STS eBook- Introduction And Chapter 1

INTRODUCTION

This book is from ‘Sounding the Shofar’, a Facebook group on which I posted words of encouragement and Bible teachings for family members and friends.  The posts were submitted nearly every day over a two and a half month period from mid September 2011 until the end of November 2011.   Friends who didn’t do Facebook had the messages emailed to them.  God’s Word encouraged all of us, me including, as I conveyed what the Holy Spirit was saying. Then I thought there must be more folks who will read and benefit from these posts.

I began to write because I  believe this is where God’s heart is and where my heart is. . . to begin to share what is more important than living a mundane life . . . to reach out and touch God, and have others, too,  receive a touch of His love, His mercy, and grace.

My purpose for this book is to emphasize the importance of the Word of God to help us in our faith walk- as we occupy and endure in these last days, while looking to the soon Return of Christ.

All scriptures are from the King James Version, or Amplified Bible (AMP) or otherwise indicated.

CHAPTER 1

GOD IS FAITHFUL

From my Journal:

“God is Faithful and True.  His love for us is an Everlasting Love, for He loved us from before time was, and will forevermore (Ephesians 1:4-5). There is nothing that He would withhold from us in the way of blessings.  He will pour them upon us, His children, releasing His love and blessings from heaven above, even as His love flows down upon all those who seek Him and call upon His name.  God proves Himself Faithful as He arrests those going the way of destruction, like He did the apostle Paul, and also does the same today, reining in wayward youth and adults and pressing them into service for His glory!  “For the wages of sin is death, but God’s gift to us is Everlasting Life and His desire is that all be saved” (Romans 6:23; 1Timothy 2:4).

God intervenes in the families of our friends and loved ones as we continue to uphold them in prayer and intercede for them.  This we must not neglect to do because the fiery darts of the devil are against them and us as well; he is unrelentless in his destructive work.  Satan will beat us down unless we make every effort to submit ourselves to God, and steadfastly resist the devil so that he will flee from us.  James, Jesus’ half brother says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7)

Satan doesn’t leave us alone, but troubles us on every side, at every opportunity, more so when we let our guard down.  That is why we need to know how to use our spiritual weapon, the Word of God, so we can stand our ground and push back the forces of darkness that seek to destroy us.

1John 4:7 states, “. . .greater is he that  is in you, than he that is in the world.”

We must take heart and know that it is God who does the fighting for us.  The battle is HIS  and the victory is OURS!  If God be for us, who can be against us?  No power or demon can put us down when Jesus is present to lift us up and sustain us! Praise the Lord!

God  Desires Fellowship With Us

Garden Experience, Kauai, Hawaii 8-27-2005  (Previously posted 6-8-2012, God Moments)

Hiking down from the Fern Grotto, it was as though the Spirit of the Lord was present among the thick tall trees and foliage of the lush rain forest.  Wyman and I were the last ones in our group and everyone had gone down ahead of us.  So no one was around when I was compelled to call out in a loud voice from the top of the trail.  I cupped by hands to my mouth and yelled, “WHERE ARE YOU?!”  From further down the trail I heard someone answer back, “HERE!”  I told Wyman to call out, “WHERE ARE YOU?” in his bigger voice, and he shouted, “WHERE ARE YOU?”  Again some guy yelled back from somewhere, “HERE!”

We started walking down the trail to join our tour group.  On the trip back down the Wailua River, Wyman sang ‘Beyond the Reef’, one of the few oldies he still remembers from bygone years.  We also sang two Christian songs to our small party of 15 passengers.  Then I shared with the folks that on the hike I called out, “WHERE ARE YOU?”  I asked if anyone heard someone shouting “WHERE ARE YOU?”  One guy identified himself as the one who shouted back twice, “HERE!”  It was a ‘chicken skin’ experience for me as I proceeded to explain how God called out “WHERE ARE YOU?” to Adam and Eve when He came to have fellowship with them in the Garden of Eden.”  God calls each one of us also, to have a relationship with Him, to  fellowship with us!  Praise the Lord that the boat captain was a ‘hang loose’ guy and let us have the mike so we were able to be Christian witnesses on this beautiful day in Kauai!

(To be continued- Having A Relationship With God)

God Created All Things Beautiful

Some of the words from one of my favorite songs are:

“You are beautiful beyond description… Majesty enthroned above.”

Have you considered where beauty comes from or why we love beautiful things?

The origin of beauty is found in Genesis, the first book of the Bible in the Creation account.  On each of the six days of creation, when God finished what He created, “God saw that it was good (Genesis 1:4, 10, 12, 18, 21, 25).  He liked EVERYTHING that He had made and when He was done on the sixth day, He looked over everything that He had made and “behold, it was very good (Gen 1:31).

What did He create on the sixth day that He would conclude with His Words, “very good”?  On that last day of creation, God created US!  In Genesis 1:26, God created us in His image and likeness.  God is Beautiful as the song says (Psalm 27:4; 29:2).  He made us beautiful in His sight, and He put the love for beauty and everything that is beautiful into our hearts and minds.  That is a part of God’s nature, His image and likeness, that we all are born with.

As a nature lover, I see beauty in the stars, moon and sunsets, in the many different orchids and their different scents as I purchase flowers in the plant nursery; I see the varied shapes, colors,  patterns of stripes and spots on the little birds and large cats in the zoo, and as an artist, I marvel at the way trees grow with their trunks and branches, colored leaves, flowers, and fruit, etc.  God is a nature lover also and even planted a garden for Adam and Eve to enjoy (Gen 2:8).   It tells us in Gen 2:9; 3:6 that trees in the Garden of Eden were created to be “pleasant to the sight and good for food.”   God made trees with their own beauty to be admired, while other trees provided fruit to be eaten for food.

There is so much that could be written about beauty.  Beauty is where God is in heaven with the holy angels; beauty is in the praises and worship of the angelic choir and us here on earth.  Beauty originated from the heart of God, and we who are His children, have the same heart as our Father God!  Can you say after you have done something, whatever it is, as God said, “it was good” or “it was very good”?   Colossians 3:23 tells us to do our best in everything.  Even as God does His best, we should also do our best, and do it for Him, our Father.   Let what we do be praiseworthy from His perspective, and not be done for the praise of man!

Read Col 3:23  in your own Bible because I often paraphrase a scripture to understand how it can apply to my life.  The Bible is not just a good book to read, but it is God speaking to you and to me, from His heart to our hearts.

It Happened In the Garden

On the Garden Island of Kauai in Hawaii, is a beautiful rainforest.  The lush rainforest has a fern grotto of cascading ferns against a huge lava cave backdrop and is a popular tourist site and favorite setting for many weddings. To get there you need to take the Smith Riverboat up the Wailua River and hike up a trail. This is the setting of my story:

Garden Experience in Kauai, Hawaii  from my journal 8-27-2005

“Hiking down from the cavernous Fern Grotto, I felt the presence of the Spirit of God among the  thick tall trees and foliage of the lush rain forest.  My husband, Wyman, and I were the last ones at the end of the trail since everyone in our tour group had gone back down ahead of us.  So no one was around when I was compelled to call out in a loud voice from the top of the trail.  I cupped my hands together to my mouth and yelled, “WHERE ARE YOU?”   From further down the trail I heard someone answer back, “HERE!”  I told Wyman to call out, in his bigger voice, and he shouted, “WHERE ARE YOU?”  Again some guy yelled back from somewhere, “HERE!”.   I was very astonished to hear someone answer with a loud voice!

We started walking down the trail to join the others.  On the trip back down the Wailua River, Wyman sang ‘Beyond the Reef’ with his ukulele, one of the few oldies he still remembers from bygone years.  We also sang two Christian songs to our small party of 15 passengers.  Then I shared with the folks that on the hike I called out, “WHERE ARE YOU?”  I asked if anyone heard someone shouting, “WHERE ARE YOU?”  One guy identified himself as the one who shouted back twice, “HERE!”  It was a ‘chicken skin’ experience for me as I proceeded to explain how God also called out “WHERE ARE YOU?” to seek fellowship with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.  God calls each one of us also, to have a relationship with Him, and to fellowship with us!  Praise the Lord that the boat captain was a ‘hang loose’ guy.  He let us have the microphone so we were able to be Christian witnesses on a riverboat that beautiful day in Kauai!”
