As Creator God, the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY is worthy of our praise. We are His people who were created to praise HIM and HIM alone.
This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD. (Psalms 102:18)
Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. (Psalms 150:6)
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Rev 4:11)
There is no other god in all the world who is worthy to be praised and worshipped! Only GOD ALMIGHTY, Creator of heaven and earth is worthy of that honor.
For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods. (Psalms 97:9)
For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. (Psalms 96:5)
God has always been LORD of all the universe, even before He formed the earth.
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. (Psalms 90:2)
God commands us to worship HIM, and not idols.
Thou shalt have none other gods before me. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, . . .(Deut 5:7-9; Exodus 20:3-5)
This is what Jesus said in Matthew 22:37-40:
“. . .Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Choose today who you will worship. Choose the Almighty God and Creator of heaven and earth, Jehovah God who is our Lord and Savior, and Soon Coming King!
(Joshua said) “. . .choose you this day whom ye will serve. . .but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15)
