In Waikiki, 5/26-27/2017

The photo top left- before rising tide waters overflowed into the famous rainbow tower Hilton Hawaiian Village lagoon. The red arrows and circled lagoon show how far ocean water came ashore.   On the right is a futile effort to keep the water back and when I walked along there palm tree roots were already exposed.  Other photos are from in front of the Moana-Surfrider Hotel where beach chairs were removed; trash barrels are half buried in sand; no sunbathers on Prince Kuhio Beach;  towels, clothes, misc. found washing away or almost buried in sand were thrown over fence and hedges by a kind man gathering them up. Shore erosion continues around the Hawaiian islands washing away the sand on our beautiful beaches.  I had only an iPhone and have no high surf photos with surfers.  Sorry about that!  (See ‘SHORE EROSION’ in Tab Bar)
