Beautiful post about the love of God as written by Joe Quatrone, Jr.
From the parables we learn of God’s great love for us!
Thank you dear sister-in-the-Lord, Sue Nash for sharing this beautiful and touching song!
I remember this old hymn from yesteryear. What a POWERFUL song- sung with such Holy Spirit anointing! Imagine William Newell composing it in 1895!
Do sing along and remember Jesus’ sacrifice for us at Calvary!
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)
With Easter approaching, my thoughts always shift to the cross and to what Christ accomplished at Calvary. Join with me in remembering this lovely old hymn,
by William Newell.
Sung by Lynda Randle
Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died
Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty
By God’s Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law I’d spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned
Now I’ve giv’n to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing
Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
