A RECAP OF WHAT THE SOUNDING THE SHOFAR BLOG POSTS ARE ABOUT
THE PURPOSE FOR THIS BLOG IS TO ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, to tell you that God loves you, and wants to bless you and save you. This is as simple as believing in Him and accepting His gift of salvation and eternal life; to believe in the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ for our sins. It is about having faith in God’s Word, the Bible and to live a life pleasing to God, to obey His two great commandments of LOVING GOD and LOVING ONE ANOTHER.
The emphasis in SOUNDING THE SHOFAR- Exhortations for the End Times was about faith in God and the importance of studying the Bible to learn how to please God and fulfill His plan and purpose for our lives, and whether you attend church or not is up to you. My advice to you is to SEEK GOD FIRST OF ALL, SEEK a relationship with HIM, ask Him to make Himself real to you, to come into your life and give it meaning!
It may come as a surprise to some of you that CHURCH is not what you should seek. CHURCH, RELIGION, ‘BEING SPIRITUAL’ WILL NOT SAVE YOU because SALVATION IS ASSURED ONLY BY FAITH IN THE NAME OF JESUS. Only a personal relationship with Jesus matters and nothing else! And it is the Holy Spirit that reveals God to us and teaches us what God is saying to us in the Bible. Man can and will lead us astray from the Truth, but God never lies or deceives us. SOUNDING THE SHOFAR- The Enemy in Our Midst. These posts will emphasize that while we have a Heavenly Father who wants to bless us, we also have an ENEMY of our souls who want to destroy us. It is SATAN, the ‘Enemy in Our Midst’ who wants to do everything he can to STEAL away our blessings of salvation and eternal life with God in heaven. Satan’s desire is to rob us of LOVE, PEACE, AND JOY that God wants to bless us with. Satan’s goal is to DESTROY lives and take as many souls to hell with him as possible. Satan is our ADVERSARY, the ENEMY IN OUR MIDST who seeks to keep us from the blessings God has for our lives. Satan’s main strategies are LIES and DECEPTION, and he uses others to do his evil works.
This is the topic being discussed now, recognizing the strategies and devices of Satan, and how to resist his power and influence in our lives.
