It may come as a surprise to many folks that SAME-SEX MARRIAGE has been around for a LONG time, in fact from the days of Noah which is about 4,500 years ago. Homosexuality has been rampant since the beginning of time, but contracts for SAME-SEX MARRIAGE can be traced to ‘the days of Noah’.
The Babylonian Talmud, written 1,000 years before Christ stated that “men were given in marriage to men, and women given in marriage to women” and contracts were made, “giving an official state stamp of approval, a sanctification. . . of homosexual partnership.” This information comes from Janet Porter of FAITH2ACTION and the WorldNetDaily, Dec. 20, 2010. The title of Janet Porter’s article is, “How same-sex marriage points to end of the world”. The rabbis’ interpretation of the Babylonian Talmud scriptures 1,000 years before Christ, show that homosexual marriage was not practiced by the ancient Greeks or Romans, or even Sodom and Gomorrah, but was ‘during the days of Noah’.
The Bible tells us,
“And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.” (Mt 24:37 NIV)
“They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.” (Luke 17:27 KJV)
The verse in Luke reveals two kinds of marriages:
- . . .“they married wives” meaning ‘traditional or Biblical marriage, between one man and one woman and
- . . .“given in marriage” refers to other kinds of marriage unions, specifically SAME-SEX MARRIAGE that today are being legalized in the U.S. and in the world.
Since the presidential election on Nov. 6, 2012, 9 states and Wash. D.C. have legalized SAME-SEX MARRIAGE, and 14 states, CIVIL UNIONS. This represents 46% of the United States of America that allows SAME-SEX MARRIAGE and CIVIL UNIONS. Prior to 1962, sodomy was a felony in every state, punishable by imprisonment and/or hard labor; by 2003 all sodomy laws became illegal and the last 27 states repealed their sodomy laws, 9 by court ruling. Soon, like the laws against Sodomy that were ruled unconstitutional, the U.S. Supreme Court will rule that it is discriminatory to not allow SAME-SEX MARRIAGE throughout America!
