Our Marvelous Creator God- A Bean Story

A friend asked me if I wanted to try some fresh beans she picked from her garden, and I said, ‘Sure’.   She gave me a handful of beans and said they were lima beans.   When I last saw such large, fresh bean pods they were from my dad’s garden many years ago and the beans were pale green.  I remember the young beans were tasty, but for the most part, for me, lima beans weren’t too exciting to eat.

I was amazed and couldn’t believe my eyes as I opened up the pods and saw what was inside of them!  My first thought was that my friend made a mistake and gave me beans that weren’t edible!  Lo and behold, besides the exotic colors, even the shiny beans from each pod were not alike.  Look at each row of beans above that is from a single pod.  All of the beans were different from one another!  After ‘playing’ with them, the large beans were cooked in a vegetable stir fry, and they were delicious!

The discovery of shiny lima beans in different colors and designs brought scriptures to my mind of how God created us all uniquely, in not only size and shape, but also in skin color.  I have two granddaughters from the same parents; the 21 yr. old has light brown hair, light skin color and has slightly slanted eyes; the 18 yr. old  has black hair, a little darker skin color and large, round eyes, as an example.

God created each one of us with unique characteristics, personalities, gifts and calling.  What an AWESOME, MARVELOUS CREATOR GOD we have!  He used His creativity and ingenuity to create the human race and place individuals in families, races, ethnic groups in cities, countries, and nations all over the world.  It is by God’s design that we are who we are today and where we are in His plan and purpose for our lives.

Here are some scriptures to meditate upon:

Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.’  Psa 100:3

‘I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…’  Psa 139:14

’Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations’.  Jer 1:5

‘…The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.’  Isa 49:1

’But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,  To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen;… Gal 1:15-16

’For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.’  Eph 2:10

Although we were all created differently from each another, God has called all of us to praise Him.  We were all created to praise His name and to glorify Him- everything in heaven and on earth, including the animals, too!

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.  Praise ye the LORD.  Psa 150:6

‘I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.  Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.  Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.’  Psa 145:1-3

PRAISE THE LORD!  \o/   NOW AND FOREVER!  \o/

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
