The Ultimate Surveillance Spy

Who Is Behind Surveillance and Our Rights to Privacy?

Are you concerned about surveillance and your personal right to privacy?  FORGET IT!  We are constantly being watched whether we like it or not, and we have no say about it!  And it’s not the government and its spies we should be concerned about because they themselves are being watched and manipulated by this BIGGER AND MOST POWERFUL SPY who with his minions of demons and human agents carry out plots, schemes, and conspiracies to destroy mankind.

That SPY is the spy of all spies who is our common foe,  SATAN, the prince and ruler of this world, the one who rules all the kingdoms of the world right now. To prove that Satan owns the world, the following describes what happened while Jesus was in the wilderness:

“.. the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them.. All these things will I give thee.. if thou wilt fall down and worship me”  (Mt 4:8,9).

If anyone is to be feared, it is this powerful enemy who is on a mission of destruction.   At this present moment, our adversary, Satan, a.k.a. as the Devil, is stalking every person on this planet, and you can be sure that he is up to no good!   The first people who were spied on and caught in his web of deception were Adam and Eve.  You can read about them in Genesis 3 and also read about how Satan had his eyes zeroed in on poor Job, a righteous man whose life was made a ‘living hell’ (Job 1-3).  In fact the whole Bible provides accounts of dealings with this adversary who tried the souls of mankind to thwart the plan of God for His people, and those faithful saints who had the victory over this formidable enemy.

“Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD  said unto Satan, Whence comest thou?  Then Satan answered the LORD, and said,  From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”  (Job 1:6-7)

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”  (1Peter 5:8-9)

As the STALKER of mankind, and as ‘the god of this world’ (2Cor4:4) and ‘prince of the power of the air’ (Eph 2:2) which includes the World Wide Web- INTERNET, Satan knows our whereabouts WITHOUT using high tech surveillance cameras, Facebook or email addresses.  He knows where we live, our street address; about our family, school, work, activities; where we are at any time of the day,  who we’re with or if we’re alone, and what we’re doing!  SCARY, HUH?  He also knows our strengths and weaknesses, especially bad habits or areas of personal weaknesses.   He has spy information gained from stalking and watching us.  Knowing our areas of vulnerabilities he can then plan HOW and WHEN to move in for the attack.  He knew that Job was blessed by God; he knew of Job’s reputation and successes, and financial profile.  Satan even watched what Job’s children did regularly on their birthdays, that they would all be together to celebrate with their siblings, so he could kill them all in one place.  He watched each time Eve stood by the forbidden tree and wondered about its beautiful fruit.  Then he made his move.

Satan’s M.O. is EVIL, never good, to serve HIS PURPOSE which is in John 10:10.  Jesus said,

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:  I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Satan will steal our joy and happiness in many devious ways, using his many strategies and devices, all custom designed for each person living on earth.  And he will attack and/or destroy our bodies and minds in a multiplicity of ways, through sicknesses and diseases, premature death, hard drugs and the overuse and misuse of even soft drugs like prescription and over the counter drugs for treating depression, oppression, phobias and compulsive anxiety disorders that plague our society today.  Satan strives relentlessly to achieve his goal of killing off people through murders, suicides, violent criminal acts, tragic accidents, catastrophes and instigating wars with his goal of destroying as many souls as he can and damning them to hell in the short time he has left (Rev 12:12).  But one of his greatest evil goals is to cause Christians to backslide and eventually reject God by following after the mindset of the world which is ungodly and anti-God.

As long as Satan is the ruler of this world, we have to deal with him.   Make no mistake that Satan, the devil, is our adversary!   There is no escaping from his influence in the world and there is no one immune from dealings with him.  This spiritual and powerful foe is not only invincible and vile, but is no respector of persons.  He even tempted Jesus, who was filled with the Holy Ghost and power.   Jesus knew how to come back at Him with the Word of God and Jesus had his final victory over Satan when He rose from the grave victoriously.

BUT there is ONE WAY,  ONLY ONE WAY, to stand up to Satan.  The Bible tells us that we must appropriate the power and authority over Satan that Jesus gave us which comes from being filled with the Holy Spirit:

“. . .he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickess and all manner of disease.”  (Mt 10:1)

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.  Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”  (Luke 10:19-20)

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”  (Acts 1:8)

The Bible teaches us that we can have power and authority over Satan when we put our trust in God and His Word.   When we submit our lives to God,  God will not leave us nor forsake us, but help us do battle with the enemy.  In fact, the battle is God’s battle and the victory is ours.  We are in a spiritual battle with God and Satan vying for our souls.  We need to have God on our side; we need to know the Word of God to claim its promises for us- for our safety and protection from the evil one.  We must cover our family, relatives, friends, neighbors and others with our prayers, and with the blood of Jesus.  We must learn about the armour of God in Ephesians 6 and know how to wield our weapon, the sword of the Spirit or Word of God.

Jesus taught His disciples (us) to pray to the Father, “lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil”  (Mt 6:13).

The Holy Spirit will give us understanding of God’s Word, e.g. this scripture has 3 parts to it.

“Submit  yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”   ( James 4:7)

  1. SUBMIT your life to God;

Every child of God can avail himself of the blessings of our Heavenly Father, but only if we know what they are.  That is why Jesus said,

“. . .Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”  (Mt 4:4)

The important point is that we must KNOW God’s Word and LIVE by it:

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”  (John 15:7)

“If you keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.”  (John 15:10)

“Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.  and whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.”  (1John 3:21-22)

As Christians we need to be on the right side with God, in good standing with Him.

“We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.  And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness:  (1John 5:18-19)

“Greater is He (God, Holy Spirit) that is in you,  than he (Satan, the devil) that is in the world:” (1 John 4:4)

These verses assure us of God’s care and protection if we are submitted to God’s authority and living in obedience to His Word.

  1. This is what every human needs, I think – to have a fear of demons ruining over our being, to constantly be aware that there is someone out there watching us of our actions. Then, we can take a moment to recollect our actions and judgments.

    • What you are saying has a lot of good sense to it. God’s eyes also go to and fro over the earth. Yet it is the fear of disobeying God and incurring His displeasure and wrath should motivate more people to walk the straight and narrow path! I’m glad some of my posts are catching your eye, Rommel!

As Satan is the ultimate terrorist, imagine they who he does not know BY NAME. The luke-warmed testimony of we who are no threat to his kingdom and plans is an indictment against our worldliness.

To be attacked by him personally, however means only one thing: a life of godliness and a lack of worldliness.

    Good article, and God bless

  5. Planting Potatoes

reminds me of the saying…..”keep your friends close…and your enemies closer”

    • I have an idea what you mean about the second part, but could you expound on that in a few words? Thank you!

      • Planting Potatoes

well for me, keeping our friends close means we have made an effort to discern, with God’s help, those who say they are friends…because if we don’t have that discernment…we can allow our enemies to get close to us

      • We recently experienced what you described. A person we thought was a friend was really used by the enemy. The Bible says we will know them by their fruit and love for the brethren. Someone who brings false teachings that cause debate and strife is used of Satan to bring confusion, division and disunity in the body. If we had not had discernment, we would not know to part company with this so-called ‘friend’.

      • Planting Potatoes

exactly……..! of course, I believe God has commanded us to love matter what…but in order to let people get close to us that could possibly harm us and bring dishonor to us or God is what we must use our discernment for

      • Thank you again for your comments. This verse helps to sum up the importance of guarding our faith and testimony.
1 Peter 5:8 (AMP) says, “Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.”

      • Planting Potatoes

and the church said Amen! 🙂

  6. I enjoy using the prince of the power of the air’s weapon (the Internet) against him as we spread the Good News worldwide! 🙂

Has it been rough going for you lately? Do you feel like you’ve been going through situations that have left you weary or discouraged? Romans 8:31 says…’If God be for us, who can be against us?’ Well, here’s who’s against us!
