A Hated Minority

Hey, we don’t want to be hated, do we?! Then who is Matthew 10:22 talking about- “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” Ephesians 6:12 tells us that we are not fighting each other, but are engaged in a spiritual battle. The problem is with fighting with God over this issue of homosexuality, those who stand with God or those who are God-haters.

  1. Thanks for your sharing and God bless you!

  2. Noah comes to mind…how long did he preach (gosh, even that word to many is repulsive)? Letʻs try this: how long did he warn (better, word choice huh?). How many respected, regarded, heeded him? I wonder if the animals had a choice. My domesticated dogs have their own will and choose to listen to me (or not)…

    • When you consider just the word ‘minority’ and not even consider the ‘hated’ part, what kind of numbers do you come up with. Only Noah’s family of 8 were saved from the deluge and only Lot’s family were saved from the fire and brimstone judgment, though Lot’s wife didn’t make it. Jesus Himself asked will He find faith on earth when He returns. That leaves us with an unpopular minority, doesn’t it?!

  3. Wendell, I guess I didn’t answer your question, did I? It was 100 years from the time Noah had his 3 sons to the time of the flood (Gen 5:32; 6:10-11; 7:6). As a preacher of righteousness (2 Peter 2:5) he could not convince the ungodly. Remember the earth was filled with corruption and violence as it is today (Gen 6:11; Mt 24:37). It is important for you to do your own Bible study, at least check out all of these scriptures. This will blow your mind: the ungodly who perished in the flood were Noah’s uncles and aunts and cousins AND his own brothers and sisters! SO TRAGIC; SO SAD!
