Eureka!, An Ideal City… With A Catch

Excellent Post! Unity has to be understood on God’s terms and from His Word. It does not ever mean Political Correctness and Compromise!

SIH STSTA ICONEureka is a TV show currently being shown on the SyFy channel.  It’s unique plot line has made it my favorite show currently being aired.  I would recommend it for all ages, it is an entertaining, and educational, family oriented show.  The show is about a city that was created by the US government to house all of the greatest thinkers of the day.   You have rocket scientists, brain surgeons, quantum physicists, all the best minds inhabiting one city.  You would think if there was one city that had all its problems handled it would be this one.  Because it is filled with geniuses, they should be able to handle any problem that comes their way.  The interesting thing is this… they actually create their own problems.  Many times, an individual scientist goes “rogue” and botches up an experiment that causes problems for the entire city.

  1. Since I couldn’t leave a comment on the original author’s blog, I am posting a couple thoughts here.

    1. The government is not interested in thinkers, and neither is the church, for that matter. Both only want followers.

    2. Scripture tells us that “knowledge puffs up, while love builds up,” and that God uses, “the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.” Perhaps you recall that in the 1950’s, it was believed that science and rational thinking held the key to the world’s problems.

    3. A “statement of faith,” means nothing. The real statement of faith for any entity is what they practice. Many ministries will claim they do not believe in faith + works, but that is not what they practice, including those in your camp.

    • Thank you for your comments. In the end each one of us, not denominations, churches, or ministries, but each PERSON will stand before God to give account for his life. Before then, we can only recognize the true believers by their fruit (Mt7:20).
